With over 15 years of experience in running and managing my own successful short-term rental properties—and living and breathing property management every day—I know what works! Plus, if any issues arise, I deal with both property owners and guests diplomatically and professionally to resolve the situation to their mutual benefit.

I started hosting in 2007 in St Kilda, Melbourne (Australia). After many years working as a teacher, I had travelled the world as a backpacker, and gained invaluable hands-on experience with short-term stays and backpacker hostels. I was inspired by the potential and opportunity for growth, so on returning to Australia, I envisaged a golden opportunity to offer short-stay accommodation in St Kilda, which would specifically cater to the backpacking community.

Handling challenges 

Even before the Airbnb platform arrived, I’d experienced the challenges of short-stay accommodation. I applied my skills to meeting these challenges. Great communication. Attention to details. Continuous improvement. Proactively working to prevent recurrence wherever possible. Through my backpacking travels, I became very aware of the difference between checking into a sub-standard hostel or similar accommodation, and opening the front door to a clean, fresh, and welcoming area – no matter how small!

When Airbnb arrived as a game changer in the industry, I quickly recognised its potential, signing up all my properties. I was passionate about creating exceptional service for property owners and their guests, and so I started Dream Team Hosting. When I manage guest hosting for your property, I personally oversee all aspects of your guest communication, and the cleaning and maintenance of your property. My dedication and impeccable approach has resulted in scores of  excellent reviews. Dream Team Hosting has become an Airbnb host of choice.
